Jaggu dada, as he is fondly called, has been missing in action for a long time now, but he will be soon seen giving a tour-de-force performance in an Ananth Mahadevan film
While the media has been busy speculating about the launch of his son Tiger Shroff in Bollywood, Jackie hasn’t hung his boots as yet. He will be playing the lead protagonist in Life’s Good. The film is about a man in his forties who has just lost his mother and is so depressed that he is on the verge of committing suicide. Unlike his usual flamboyant self, Jackie will be seen in a somber avatar in an author backed role. His last film outing as Sai Baba didn’t find many takers at the BO and this one, being an art-house kinda film is aimed at the multiplex audience who appreciate hatke films. Director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan said, “The story is partly based on a true life story with an additional narrative neatly woven around it. We normally won’t see such heart melting tales and I am sure people will be able to relate to the film in some way or the other. There is no dearth of quality scripts in India and I was fortunate to have Anand Shukla standing shoulder to shoulder with me in making this project a masterpiece.” In Life’s Good, Jackie’s character gets a fillip when he meets a pretty little girl, played by newcomer Saniya. Apart from the main cast of the film, Suniel Shetty, Sudhir Mishra and Vivek Vaswani were also present at the launch of the film. We are glad that Jackie has finally got a role where he can showcase his talent.
