Zee TV has launched a new show, with Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma in the lead
Jamai Raja also marks the comeback of Achint Kaur. Ever since word got out about the show, there have been rumours claiming that the daily soap is based on the movie Jamai Raja starring Anil Kapoor, Hema Malini and Madhuri Dixit. Well there definitely are several obvious similarities, but we can only begin to compare them once the story progresses.
After watching the first two episodes, five things gave us a positive vibe about the show. Read on to know what we liked about the show…
# The pairing of Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma is fresh and exciting. While Ravi’s experience shows off on the screen, Nia’s freshness adds the tadka. Their chemistry is yet to get established on the show, but we’ve seen the sparks.
#Achint Kaur has always been known for her striking and character-actor performances. Her flawed character adds an edge to the show. While portraying the non-caring, hard-as-rock mother; she displays hints of softness that only an actor of her caliber can show.
#After decades, the male protagonist is the hero of the show unlike most daily soaps. For the first time the attention has shifted from the bahus to the jamais of the house. Interesting!
#Achint Kaur is supposed to play an elite jewellery designer in Jamai Raja. We’ve seen a lot of accessories on the show and some of them surely look exquisite.
# Shruti Ulfat and Apara Mehta are a surprise package. Their mere presence packs a punch in the show. Shruti has a bubbly and charming personality while Apara has the calming effect which gives Jamai Raja solid grounding and base.
