While some Bollywood bigwigs are already ruling the small screen, we now hear Jaya Bachchan and Danny Denzongpa are also set to make their TV debut

B-town celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor are currently wooing the audience on television with their respective shows – Kaun Banega Crorepati 7, Bigg Boss 7 and 24. And looks like Big B’s wifey Jaya Bachchan is going to walk down the same path. While Mr Bachchan is flooded with film offers as well, Abhishek Bachchan’s mummy dearest was last seen on the big screen in Drona which was way back in 2008. If there are hardly any good films coming her way then wethinks there is no harm if Sr Mrs Bachchan considers television as a career option.

Reportedly, she will be seen playing the lead role in a fiction show on Sony Entertainment Channel. Though nothing is official as yet, we hope Jaya Bachchan does accept the offer so that at least we get to her on TV if not on silver screen.

Even Bollywood baddie Danny Denzongpa has been approached by the makers of popular mythological show Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev. The talented actor has been offered the role of a villain as the director of the show thinks he fits the bill perfectly. Our khufiya khabroo says, “Danny has asked for a bound script. He has said that he will get back soon.”

The Agneepath actor will be seen in Salman Khan’s next film Mental. While Denzongpa’s Bollywood career is going steady, it wouldn’t be a bad decision to try his hand on television. After all, every B-townie’s latest obsession is to be on the idiot box, hai na?Subscribe to me on YouTube
