Her ‘Kanha’ could not save the actor this time, as Giaa Manek and her choreographer Nishant lost out on in the last-shown round of the dance reality show

Poor Giaa Manek. First she gets kicked out of her long-time Hindi soap, the weepie Saath Nibhana Saathiya. And then, just when she thought her ‘Kanha’ was keeping her safe in the dance contest, the actor was eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 too.

Giaa did manage to charm the judges as well as the audiences by performing dance forms like the Samba, Kathak and Bollywood, but it was her aerial contemporary dance act that won her full marks from the Madhuri Dixit, Remo Fernandes and Karan Johar. ‘Gopi bahu’, as she was known on her telly serial, along with her choreographer Nishant worked hard for the winner’s trophy, but unfortunately couldn’t progress further in the show. The two were eliminated in a tearful results declaration last Saturday night. In a weepy yet smiling speech Giaa said that while she accepted that maybe she had not done enough to make the next round of the competition, she felt really bad for letting her choreographer down. It was a soppy-sentimental exit, but a sweetly dignified one as well.

Who goes next? We don’t dare guess, since this show seems to be full of surprises!
