JHALAK DIKHHLA JAA 5: Jayati Bhatia out, Karan Wahi, Rashmi Desai and Rithvik Dhanjani are in

The Sasural Simar Ka actor became the fifth contestant to leave the show this season, while the three telly actors were chosen as wild card entrants. And no, Avika Gor did not make it!

Jayati Bhatia ‘rediscovered’ her passion for dance on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 and the 41-year-old hopes that she has been able to inspire women her age to use their free time pursuing their hobbies or favourite activities. She didn’t expect to be eliminated from the dance reality show so soon, but is happy with her performance.

“People never thought I’d be able to do all that I did on the show. I hope that I have inspired ladies of my age who have nothing to do at home, to realise that they can take up dancing, singing and painting when their husbands are at work,” Jayati said. “It is very important that women realise their passion and pursue it. My journey on Jhalak… has come to an end, but I have promised myself that I will join western dance classes from August 7 and I will pursue it regularly from now on,” she added. “It has been great to be part of an international format, which is so popular worldwide. I was very fortunate,” insists the actor, who is seen as Mataji in Sasural Simar Ka.

Meanwhile, three of the six contestants of the wild card round have found a spot for themselves on the show. Karan Wahi, Rashmi Desai and Rithvik Dhanjani were voted in, even though there were only two slots. The judges – Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar – unanimously voted for Rithvik, but when it came to choosing between Karan and Rashmi, they were stuck. In the end, they decided to take them both. With these top-line TV actors on the show, we are sure the channel is hoping more viewers will tune in every weekend.

We are sure they will, especially since the judges’ final decision match that of a poll we conducted here. We asked you who you want to see win the wild card round. Karan won our poll with 35 percent of the total votes in his favour. Rithvik came in second at 23 percent and Rashmi was third with 18 percent. Isn’t that a great coincidence? Your top three, the people you chose, made it to the judges’ top three list too! As for the others – Avika Gor and Jay Soni shared fourth spot in our poll with 11 percent votes each and Neha Bhasin got 2 percent.

So will you watch JDJ 5 this weekend?
