Jiah Khan suicide: Mumbai court extends Suraj Pancholi’s judicial custody till July 11

The prime accused in Jiah Khan’s suicide case will now have to spend two weeks more in prison

A Mumbai court has extended Suraj Pancholi’s judicial custody till July 11. The aspiring actor is now pinning all hopes on the Mumbai High Court after his bail plea was rejected by a Sessions Court last week. Suraj hasn’t been able to free himself from the clutches of law, just as yet.

The son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab appeared before the Andheri Magistrate this morning. At the hearing, the police prosecutor opposed his bail plea on the grounds that the probe into Jiah’s case was at a critical state and Suraj’s release could hamper their investigation process.

Pancholi will be lodged at the Arthur Road Central Jail.
