John Abraham persuades Anurag Kashyap for No Smoking sequel

The Race 2 hunk says it was one of the best roles of his career and he can’t wait to revisit it

Hit films getting a sequel is a norm in Bollywood. Since the recall value is high and audiences throng the theatres, producers don’t mind splurging big on the movie’s sequel. But it’s a wonder when a sequel is announced to a film that was a certified flop at the box office.

The buzz is that John Abraham has approached Anurag Kashyap to direct a sequel to their infamous 2007 crime-thriller No Smoking. However since Anurag is neck-deep in work with Bombay Velvet and his other projects, it could be some time before this project takes off. But according to John, No Smoking has been the best role he has ever played and he believes that Anurag was able to get the best out of him.

Now, with almost everyone saying that John has real trouble acting on screen, it seems only logical for the hunk to pursue Kashyap to make a sequel to the film. So, will John himself agree to produce it since he had a successful outing with Vicky Donor? Hmm…are you ready to put your money where your mouth is John?
