The lady who turns 45 today will be seen doing what she does best on the big screen – playing a cute and funny character in Son Of Sardaar!
Juhi Chawla was born on November 13, 1967 in Haryana, India, to Dr S Chawla and Mona Chawla. And her first ticket to Bollywood was the title of Miss India that she won in 1984. In 1986 she debuted with the movie Sultanat. But what actually marked her entry into Bollywood was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), in which she co-starred with Aamir Khan.
Since then Juhi has delivered some memorable hits that include Darr (1993), Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke (1993), Ishq (1997) and parallel cinema like 3 Deewarein (2003), My Brother Nikhil (2005), Bas Ek Pal (2006) and I Am (2011). She won the National Award for I Am.
But while Juhi was busy playing the serious roles, we missed her effervescence and the comic timing she displayed oh-so-confidently in mainstream cinema. And we guess Juhi was aware of that. That’s why our bubbly actor is back to playing a cute and funny character in Son Of Sardaar, a movie that releases – so aptly – on her birthday!
“This character in SOS somewhere takes me back to time, when I did lighthearted movies. I am happy and excited about this movie. I hope the audience likes it,” the birthday gal said while talking about her role. And we would like to assure her that we will. You comic timing really rocks, Juhi!
