Kangana Ranaut has just returned from a much deserved holiday and looks like she is wasting no time in getting back to work. The actress has been preparing hard for the Rani Lakshmibai biopic and looks like she will start shooting for it on her birthday itself. Kangana celebrates her 30th birthday on March 23 and instead of having a party, she has decided to keep herself busy with work. She will slip into the warrior queen’s fierce avatar and face the camera. As per sources close to the star, Kangana will shoot for the first poster of Manikarnika this Thursday, post which she will start shooting for the movie in the coming few months.
For those of you who don’t know, Manikarnika is a film on Jhansi Ki Rani and will helmed by Krish (of Gabbar Is Back fame). Earlier Ketan Mehta was supposed to direct the movie. However, according to a report in BollywoodHungama.com, he was kicked out by the actress. Coming back to the movie, the story has been penned by SS Rajamouli’s father, KV Vijayendra Prasad, who is also the writer of Baahubali. The film will revolve around the life of an ordinary girl, who finds herself in quite a few difficult situations. A source close to Kangana Ranaut further revealed, “The new film will be helmed by a fresh team. A top studio, too, has agreed to back the venture, which is envisioned as an action-packed, feisty film. It is the biopic of an ordinary girl, who, when faced with tough times, discovered the warrior in her.
