Kapil Sharma and gang need to pull up their socks – find out why!

Ever since it started last year in April, Kapil Sharma’s offering for Sony TV, The Kapil Sharma Show has been the leader in the non-fiction category. It gave a boost to the channel’s TRPs almost consistently grabbing a spot in the top five. The Kapil Sharma Show was graced by Bollywood’s top celebrities and the brands associated with it also got bigger over time. However, it has seen a slide in the last couple of weeks courtesy Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, which has captured the imagination of viewers in urban and rural area. The show dislodged The Kapil Sharma Show in the first week and is the No.1 non-fiction show in the country.

Music shows across channels see reasonable success in India. It should be noted that music shows with kids are even bigger hits. They have considerable engagement on social media as well. Even Indian Idol Junior and The Voice India Kids were hits. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has a fantastic pool of talent. Trust us, people love to watch cute kids singing! Moreover, this year kids are representing schools, so a devoted audience is guaranteed in form of school community. Riya, Adnan and Jayas already have people swooning over them on social media. Singer Javed Ali has added the X-factor to the show. To say that he is one of the cutest judges around would be an understatement. Javed connects with the kids with his simplicity and charm. He does not mind being a kid and is doing these small entertaining acts that win over family audiences. Even Neha Kakkar is getting a lot of love from people. The near-perfect judges have won over the public. Aditya Narayan is also back as the host. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has a loyal audience over the years and this season has played all the right cards. The fight between the two family entertainment shows in the fiction category, The Kapil Sharma Show and Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs has vanquished Star Plus’ Koi Laut Aaya Hai and Colors’ Rising Star. Finally, it is the talent. The kids who are as little as five-year-old sing fabulously and are power-packed performers. Do we need to say more? It’s success is a lot like Super Dancer that excelled due to talent. (Also Read: Sunil Grover in Rinku Bhabhi mode gives a hilarious tribute to married women – watch video)

On the hindsight, Kapil Sharma’s show has not been really innovative in the past few months. Many celebs have come too often in the past few months so the charm has diminished. Do you feel Kapil and co need to up their game? Stay tuned to Bollywood Life for more scoop and updates….
