Amitabh Bachchan didn’t hesitate from commenting on the crime against women in the city at the KBC press conference. The actor said, “It’s sad…Mumbai was considered a safe city for women but yesterday’s incident is a kala dhabba on our city. Law should first catch the culprits and then take stern action against them.”

A 23-year-old female photojournalist working for a magazine was gang-raped by five men last evening. The journalist had gone to Shakti Mills Compound near Famous Studios to take photographs for a feature focussing on the chawls and mills of Mumbai. The girl was accompanied by a male colleague. While walking in the compound, the duo was told by a group of five men that they would require prior permission to take pictures, for which they were taken to a deserted area where the man was first tied up and the girl was raped over and over again.
The incident has left everyone shocked and angry. And celebrities are expressing their feelings about it too. Here’s how Bollywood reacted:
