Karan Johar’s film ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ in trouble

The censor board has raised an objection to the use of the word ‘sex’ in the film’s trailer

While most of the biggies get away without being nit-picked upon by the censor board, Karan Johar’s Imran Khan-Kareena Kapoor-starrer is in trouble. Apparently, the trailer of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu has a shot where the characters played by Imran and Bebo are asked if they’ve had sex, to which they both give a contradictory answer. The guys at the Board are not too happy with the use of the three-letter word in a trailer that will be viewed by people of all ages in their homes several times in a day. They made their feelings very clear to Karan and now he and his team are working out another option. Meanwhile, this trailer has been cleared with an A certificate and will be aired in theatres with The Dirty Picture, as planned. While we agree with the Board that special care should be taken with trailers as even kids can watch it easily, we do wonder why they are being choosy about the films they object to. While some film trailers are passed with expletives and bold scenes, some are not as lucky. Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly trailer had a cloaked Hindi expletive along with an intimate scene thrown in, Yash Chopra’s Luv Ka The End had the ‘F’ word in its trailer and Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama has the boys talking about their insatiable urge to get down and dirty in its trailer. Do not forget the middle finger routine in Rockstar and Players‘ trailers. There are several other instances where the trailers with objectionable content have been easily aired on our television screens. So why so much fuss over one word in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu? Do you think there is something wrong with the functioning of the censor board?Subscribe to me on YouTube

I went to Hopper’s grave days after his death, it is a simple Native American style grave in taos, far from hoywllood and hard to find. He will be missed. It seem his grave gathers more and charm, not unlike Jim Morrison, whose grave I visited in the early 90 s and is now shut out by gates.
