And the Ishkq In Paris actor-producer is extremely thankful to her dear director friend

When Preity Zinta decided to join the growing brigade of leading ladies morphed into producers, the bubbly babe turned to quite a few friends in the film industry for assistance. Apart from Salman Khan, Karan Johar and Dharma Films’ CEO Apoorva Mehta are two more names on that list. It turns out that PZ shares close ties with the multitalented filmmaker and his work-partner, so they have both been an integral part of her first production. Remember she also starred in Dharma productions like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna?

Our informant, who regularly hangs out at the famous café below Dharma Films’ suburban office, told us that the bubbly babe has been regularly in touch with KJo throughout the making of Ishkq In Paris. “She consulted Karan on everything from marketing to post production to satellite rights and other commercial aspects of filmmaking that were beyond Preity’s understanding,” says our source.

When PZ was asked about the Student Of The Year director’s involvement in IIP, she acknowledged it and said, “I’d like to thank Karan for having a heart of gold and helping me find a solution (to all my problems).”

That means not all friendships in B-town are just for the prying cameras and juicy bytes.
