Karan Johar to join Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor in Shaandar?

Vikas Bahl is having a difficult time to rope in the remaining cast of the film

It’s old goss that Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be coming together for Shaandar. While the lead pair has given a nod, Vikas Bahl is having a tough time to sign an actor to play a Sindhi businessman father in the film. Reportedly, he approached Sajid Khan and Karan Johar to play the part, but both the filmmakers turned down the role, we hear. Sajid confirmed, “Yes, I was offered the film but no, I’m not doing Shaandar. I’m busy scripting my next film, a youthful rom-com.”

What more! A source told a daily, “Vikas is very impressed with Karan’s performance in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet and felt he’d do justice to Shaandar. But after considering the offer for a while, Karan said he was not interested.”

Well, rumours suggest that Vikas won’t be giving up on Karan so easily and will try persuading him again, to sign the dotted line for Shaandar. Now let’s wait and watch if KJo will agree to play a father on screen. Stay tuned!
