The Agneepath producer is keen on making an impression in front of the camera
Many filmmakers are closet actors and recently we have seen some like Amole Gupte, Anurag Kashyap and Nishikant Kamat make an impression with their acting chops on the big screen. Karan Johar is one such filmmaker who was last seen on the big screen in Aditya Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995 and in Sujoy Ghosh’s Home Delivery. It seems that KJo isn’t satisfied with the cameos that he has done and is looking forward to doing a full-length feature film, in which he would be playing some part. In a recent interview, he said, “I would love to act. If I get an interesting role I will definitely take the plunge. I don’t see myself making a film starring myself though. I want to be directed by other filmmakers. I am waiting for the right role.” Wethinks Karan is ‘inspired’ by Farah Khan, who recently bagged the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film, Shirin Farhad. Would you like to see KJo act or do you think he should stick to his role behind the camera? Tell us.
