Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’ postponed indefinitely

Director-producer Karan Johar’s venture after My Name Is Khan is running behind schedule as the shoot has been postponed indefinitely

David Dhawan’s son Varun Dhawan recently had a major accident on the sets of his debut film, Student Of The Year (SOTY), pushing the shoot for a later date. The newbie was filming an action sequence in Film City on Monday, when he accidentally injured his nose. Varun was rushed to a hospital in Andheri, where it was diagnosed as a nose fracture, automatically delaying KJo’s shooting plans. With the shoot postponed, Karan now has a new problem to face.

The director has to reacquire fresh dates from all his cast, including Rishi Kapoor, who is really busy at the moment with several other projects. SOTY also happens to be the debut film of Siddharth Malhotra and Aaliya Bhatt. Apparently, ten days of the shoot remains, along with a song sequence. According to a source from the sets, the film was initially supposed to be wrapped up by May 16. But now with Arjun’s injury, it is unknown when the shoot will resume. We wish Varun a speedy recovery, and hope things turn out well for the entire cast and crew.
