Tamil blockbuster film Ko is up for grabs for a remake and Bollywood stars have shown keen interest in it
Ko had rocked the Kollywood box office when it released last April and Prakash Jha reportedly hopes to create a similar response in Bollywood by remaking it in Hindi. He has titled his version Sathyagraha and is reportedly in talks with Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif for the female lead role. Both Katrina and Kareena are extremely busy workwise. Kat who was originally offered Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan backed out citing non-availability of dates. On the other hand, Bebo has her grand wedding to plan while completing her professional assignments – she is shooting for Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine, dubbing for Talaash, promoting Agent Vinod and has reportedly signed Golmaal 4 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s project with Ranveer Singh.
If reports are to be believed, Akshay Kumar has already been roped in to play the male lead. The makers are also trying to persuade Nana Patekar to play a pivotal role. Ko is a political thriller and was originally based on the Hollywood flick, State of Play.
