But for the odd Rowdy Rathore in his filmography, the maker of sensitive films like Khamoshi and Guzaarish gets Bebo’s vote to be the torchbearer of her grandfather’s cinematic vision
If you thought there were no takers for Sanjay Leela Bhansali after the debacle of Saawariya and Guzaarish, you are mistaken. One of the most sought after babes of B-town, the Chammak challo herself, Kareena Kapoor thinks very highly about him, and is eagerly waiting to work with him in his next film, Ram Leela. No doubt, Bhansali makes his leading ladies look like a million bucks, and still manages to get them to act. Maybe that’s why Kareena is gung ho about this one, which will be her first big screen appearance with Ranveer Singh.
But we were slightly amused when we heard Bebo say, “I wish my grandfather Raj Kapoor was alive. Though I have never worked with him, I am now working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whose films take his legacy forward in a true sense.” We wondered a bit about her statement and thought that KK was doing a disservice to the legend who was her iconic grandpa by saying this. Is the Chameli actor going out of her way to make sure the new film starts off by making news?
