The Heroine actor’s book on her fashion statements in Bollywood films to be out in December
Kareena Kapoor is surely the Bollywood diva. Although her acting skills don’t put her in the league of stars like Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Sridevi or the black-and-white era heroines like Madhubala and Meena Kumari, in terms of style, poise and elegance, Kareena’s definitely up there – well, more off screen than on it, actually!
And now Bebo, as she is fondly called, has been generous enough to share her style ‘secrets’ with her fans. She has penned (dictated?) a book on her Bollywood fashion statements that includes tips for her fans on how to ‘copy’ some of her best onscreen avatars – like ‘Poo’ aka Pooja from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Geet from Jab We Met, among others. Bebo was picked by author Shobhaa De to ‘write’ it as part of the ‘Shobhaa De Imprint of Penguin Books India’ series.
The book, titled The Style Diary of a Bollywood Diva, releases in December 2012. It also has quotes about Kareena by her fave stylist Manish Malhotra, as also Anaita Shroff Adajania; filmmaker Karan Johar who is also her BFF, and her to-be nawab, actor Saif Ali Khan.
Great. But will you buy the book and try to ape Kareena’s look?
