Kochadaiiyaan trailer: Is Deepika Padukone better than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Rajinikanth’s heroine?

The trailer of Rajinikanth’s next is finally out and we finally get a glimpse of other characters of the film

After waiting for six months since the teaser of Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan was released, the audience is in for a visual delight with the trailer of the Superstar’s next film. Though not much about the plot was revealed when the teaser was out, the trailer gives a rough idea about the storyline. While we have seen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan romancing the South Superstar in Robot, we wonder if Deepika Padukone can manage the same feat effortlessly.

As expected the 3D extravaganza looks stunning, it features the Superstar in a double role. The younger version is paired  opposite Deepika Padukone for the first time. Coming to the graphics, wethinks it would not be a very good idea to compare it with Hollywood since there is stark difference between the technology and expertise used there. The quality of this one is great as per Indian standards, at least compared to what we have seen so far. Kochadaiiyaan is India’s first motion capture technology film being made on the lines of Avatar and The Adventures of Tintin.

The film is directed by Rajini’s daughter Soundarya Ashwin, the film marks Rajinikanth’s comeback on screen after three long years. Apart from Rajinikanth and the Chennai Express actor, the film also stars Jackie Shroff, Sarath Kumar, Shobana, Aadi Pinisetty and Nassar in key roles. AR Rahman has composed the music and the sound design is by Resul Pookutty. The extravaganza will release on April 11, 2014 in six languages.
