Satyajit Ray and beyond in pictures – 250 photographs that include shots from his film shoots, his actors and his crew clicked by veteran lensman Nemai Ghosh famously known as Ray’s photographer, is on display at the Harrington Street Art Centre. The fortnight-long exhibition that began Friday brings to the fore Ghosh’s collection of pictures from mainstream Bengali and Hindi cinema taken in the course of three decades as photographer. This exhibition showcases moments frozen from Ray’s films like Asani Sanket, Seemabaddha and the Feluda series. Around 120,000 photographs from Ghosh’s collection were digitised and archived by the Delhi Art Gallery is a comprehensive record of the exhibit in the form of an illustrative book.
