Krrish 3 box office report

The father-son jodi has yet again packed a solid punch at the box office with their superhero film Krrish 3

This Diwali has turned out to more special for the Roshan khandaan. After all, Rakesh Roshan’s much-talked about film Krrish 3 starring his son Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi has got cash registers ringing at the box office. Though the pre-Diwali period isn’t the best time to release a film, papa Roshan’s move hasn’t back fired entirely. The superhero flick has done a fine job at the ticket windows so far. According to Boxofficeindia, “Krrish 3 (Hindi) collected around 18 crore nett as per early estimates on its first day. Practically all areas were hit by the pre-Diwali period which will continue till Monday. It will be Sunday evening when people come out to watch the film as Diwali festivities get over.”

The Hrithik Roshan starrer has released in Telugu and Tamil as well. Combining the collections of Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, the film raked in approximately 25 crore on the first day. Trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Despite pre-Diwali and non-holiday, Krrish 3 takes a fantabulous start. India biz [Hindi + Tamil + Telugu]: Fri 25 cr. Mindblowing!”

Allin all, the third installment of superhero franchise has had a good opening weekend. “Krrish 3 collects Rs 72.8 cr nett in its opening weekend: Fri 25.5 cr, Sat 23 cr, Sun 24.3 cr. Inclusive of Hindi + Tamil + Telugu.” posted Adarsh. With no competition at the box office and Diwali festivities coming to an end on Monday, Krrish 3 should have smooth sail at the ticket windows.
