She’s hot, cute, smart, aur aisi jise ghar mein apne maa ke pass le jaa sake (someone I can take home to mom). That’s how Rahul describes his dream girl. And guess who fit the bill to the T? Rani Mukherjee’s Tina of course! Tina has grown up in London, so naturally she wore really short dresses. According to Karan Johar, Rani needed to look really hot throughout the movie, so he got Manish Malhotra to design her clothes. They laid a lot of emphasis on her outfit in the song Koi mil gaya. The outfit Manish first prepared for Rani for the song was about a little more than knee-length. KJo was unhappy when he saw it and immediately got Manish to shorten it. Manish did, but Karan was still not satisfied. THe dress went through several alterations. By the time it came to Rani and she wore it, it was very very short. You can see how short it is when you watch the movie on YouTube Boxoffice. Karan and Manish were speechless when Rani paraded in front of them in the dress. Karan revealed recently on his chat show Koffee With Karan, that the dress ended up being shorter than expected, but it was too late to make amends. Meanwhile Rani, unaware that the dress was shorter than intended, and wanting to be a true professional, did not show her discomfort with the length of the outfit. In the end, she looked really hot, so we guess it all worked out.
