Kuch Toh Log Kahenge: Sharad Kelkar better than Mohnish Behl
Mohnish Behl walked out of the new age love saga leaving his fans disappointed and miffed. The channel brought Sharad Kelkar as his replacement. After a week in the shoes of Dr Ashutosh, we can conclude that Sharad is definitely not a bad choice
Without rushing into judging Sharad Kelkar as Dr Ashutosh we gave the actor a week to see if he could really pull off the intense, serious and silent character in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge. And Sharad surprised us with his performance, subtle smile and silent agony. The track over the week had Dr Ashutosh recovering from a near-fatal accident while Dr Nidhi (Kritika Kamra) was frantically trying to convince her family about her relationship status with Ashutosh. But things clearly didn’t work in their favour as Nidhi’s father and Dadi bua (grand aunt) refused to accept her choice and decided to take her far away from Lucknow.
Sharad gets under the skin of the character so beautifully much so that the viewer may not even notice Mohnish Behl’s absence. The chemistry between Kritika and Mohnish always seemed a little shaky and awkward, but with Sharad stepping in as Dr Ashutosh, the transition is smooth and enthralling. In spite of the onscreen age gap between the couple, their romance leaves us with a lingering smile, kudos Sharad. In short, we think Sharad Kelkar is definitely the ideal choice to play Dr Ashutosh; the actor has indeed nailed it. So much so that he may even be better than Mohnish Behl .

I have stopped watching the serial as it has rapidly detiorated and as we started watching for mb we now watch his old movies on you tube – and remember how subtle an actor he is . Hope some other channel offers him as great a role as he had in KTLk so we can see him on telly daily again – we are sure he will never do a silly role . Look forward to that but also keep hoping that Sony and he will sort out their differences and the serial will be on track again .That will be good for Sony , MB and all of us

how can you people say that SK is better than MB. i have seen his acting without epresion just saying a dailouge like a popat. MB u were the best we wish that you come back

This is not true, the relationship between original was never awkward, the age difference is depicted better there , than now . Also the relationship is all about subtle gestures and eyes. The writer of this article seems oblivious of the story, it just not a love story between to wannabes, the whole plot revolves around the age and the confusion surrounding it . It is never going to be the same and as for the nailing the role , that will happen only if the original actor comes back . The producers goofed up big time on this one . They are in denial and all efforts to push this new guy as the original is futile.

To the writer of this article, plz don’t mind but you really need to polish ur writing skills..and you should think a hundred times before comparing a veteran to a 3 serials old actor..Mohnish Bahl is a way better actor and nobody on earth can play a better Dr. Ashutosh..though the channel tried to bring a good actor (as few ppl say) in Sharad Kelkar the show is declared a flop after MB’s exit..so we can say that their operation was successful but the patient is dead..and wen it comes to romance, for us as an audience romance was wat we saw in MB’s eyes..if touching was the only criteria Emraan Hashmi would had been the perfect replacement as ashu..but do keep in mind we are not watching porn..think before you write something like this coz a large audience reads this at the same time..

yes they have spoiled the serial by their own hand no this foolish publicity stunt. its no news the show charm is gone and i think this show will go off air very soon. they love their ego but not wht their viewers want to see they can still bring MB back BUT no who cares about their viewers but they don’t known wht a viewers can do. becoz of us only their earning money and their show is runing. bring MB back he is best

Very nice acting and suitable looks. They look good together. People could not watch the characters separated from each other in the last episode and everyone has critisised the writer, director, but not the actors.

how do I see your comment on serial duniya/ I do not miind as I am so disappointed with the way Sony has butchered thi serial .I would love to have a son or son-in-law like MB was portraying the role . He showed all the values a good educated dr should have – it was quite a shock to see SK, s interpretation where he was aggresive aand even rude with Col Verma – such a change – MB would never have done it this way. Another thing I do not understand is why Sony is showing all educated sitting bekar and DB AND the Col have no problem in Nidhimarrying a bekar and will not allow her to marry a celebrated dr . Serials have social respnsibilty and kids who have blocked seats to study should not be sitting around doing nothing esp if u got 14th rank ! I do not know how Sony has allowed this very promising serial to go downhill so rapidly

Furter to my posting yesterday – when MB, SK, KKhave left we will have two tracks left – Mallika plotting with her bhabhi and DB(hysterical),and Col (mean and cruel and unjust )left to watch . Dr Ranganathan has gone away without even saying goodbye like Ashu,s Baba. Arman will go back to Mumbai . So that is the end of KTLK because no false publicity campaign by SONy TV can get viewers to watch KTLk anymore . And what was DR ashu (SK) doing in pink shirt and trousers ? is that SK, S ides of portraying the role Differently to MB ? The team has lost it and this is the end

Totally agree with Madhu. Dont understand why they want to sink their own ship.If you really think that SK is better then MB then do one thing after this separation track start their love story again (fresh) but according to title means naino ki bhasha and hickichat(no touchy touchy scenes) and ask him to do what MB did and then we will see hw great actor he is. He cant even give the simple expression of love and you r talking about he is better then MB what a joke. And also noticed that he is trying to copy MB totally. If he is better then MB then why copying MB? Dont get that.

Stop this publicity stunt by the way on what basis you are saying sharad is better than Mohnish Bahl can you please tell me what are the things you have considered for this comparision .. Its more than two weeks since sk is replaced but still he couldn’t get into the role . Dr ashu role is not sk s cup of tea .. Mohnish bahl has done doctor role before so he knows .. Sharad Kelkar is good actor but dr ashu role is not his kind of acting ..
I think others should learn from Ktlk that how to butcher any show..

You can give n # of publicity like that. Sharad is a great actor agree, but is misfit as Dr Ashutosh. His body language and dialogue delivery is crappy, feels as if it is read from a book. He was great in saath phere.
Mohnish Bahl was the soul of Dr Ashu and did it perfectly.What the nainoki basha did with MB , SK could not even do it with hug and constant touching and saying meri nidhi meri nidhi. We even put him illogical things in the script and crappy tracks like hair dye, specs, disc etc etc just because everything was acted with grace. MOhnish Bahl has enacted the toughest part of the serial so far being a hardstone to a person falling in love and standing by his love. Now more or less it seems to be a love story which is shown in any other soap the only thing is still has pathetic tracks. Request people to stop publishing things like this to gain publicity. Completely disagree SK is better than Mohnish Bahl. Wake up people wake up…no one can erase Mohnish bahl from our thoughts as Dr Ashu.

MB is real Dr Ashutosh.I dont think SK has really impressed the viewers in the role of Dr Ashutosh.He cannot match the subtle romance of MB.He nowhere stands with MB.MB is the natural organ of KTLK, but SK is only a limb.How can a limb perfectly fits a body?One should not expect.It is only managable.

its really sad to see a good serial going to waste. The story does not hav ethe same appeal as it used to have.
Shave off Sharad kelkar’s beard and he would look nearer to Kritka’s age.
Today the society is not so dogmatic that it would not accept the age difference concept.
Either wind up the serial or bring it back on track with Mohnish Behl at its helm.

Murder most foul!!!The makers of KtLk had no right to set our hopes high and then plunge them to depths . first they made Ashu ,s track so silly – no celebrity Dr would meet clandestinely in parks etc etc – so MB quit (had no option we guess 0 now they are making nidhi look idiotic -characterless – leading Dr ashu on after her baba had told her he would not accept this type of relationship – she has lost her character – KK might leave too even if she says she is enjoying romancing SK – Actually she looked so happy with MD – they were charming together . That now leaves SK to marry Mallika and he looks younger than her – a total mismatch – So Sk will also quit . I thinnk it would be better if we all quit the show and so do the makers as they no longer know what to do with this serial and viewers aredecreasing sensing MB will not come back – he was the spine of the show – and also Dr pandey has lost his genius – the dalogues have detiorated along with MB,s exit or without his excellent expressions ,voice modulatin and delivery lost the spark Altogether they have murdered a nice show and deserve to be punished for spoiling our evening – can,t figure out how to punish them – maybe the TRP,s will do so

KTLK is claiming that its DK make and in DK lead pair hold hands in last episode..
But KTLK PH wants romance like Ekta Kappor serials.
