The character actor is currently battling for his life at a Jaipur hospital, and his family is finding it difficult to bear his medical expenses
You have seen Shrivallabh Vyas play pivotal characters in films like Lagaan, Sarfarosh, Shool, Dil Bole Hadippa among various others. The once hale and hearty Vyas reportedly fainted on the sets of a film in Gujarat almost four years ago and got paralysed. His family which relocated to Jaisalmer and then to Jaipur due to never ending financial constraints, has been living in rented apartments ever since.
Even though his businessman brother is trying his best to help the family, their sole hope is in the form of Aamir Khan, who besides providing them with financial aid, also visited them in February when he was shooting in Jaipur for P.K. Meanwhile, Shrivallabh’s wife Shobha is totally let down with the kind of support that CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes Association) has offered. According to her, Arun Bali of CINTAA offered a mere Rs 10,000.
Gajendra Chauhan, Vice President, CINTAA said that the committee members of the board will do the needful after reviewing the actor’s case. He added that the association had sanctioned Rs 50,000 but they haven’t yet received the required medical bills in order to process the cheque.
