After taking Bollywood by storm with his stellar performance in Ek Villain, Riteish has indeed made a perfect debut in Marathi cinema
Lai Bhaari, which marks the debut of Riteish Deshmukh in Marathi cinema continued to remain steady over the third week. The film, in its 3rd Week, collected Rs 47 lacs on Friday, Rs 82 lacs on Saturday, Rs 1.10 crore on Sunday, Rs 55 lacs on Monday, Rs 95 lacs on Tuesday, Rs 42 lacs on Wednesday and 40 lacs on Thursday. The film now stands with a total collection of Rs 31.14 crores thereby making it the highest grossing Marathi movie of all time.
And naturally, the Ek Villain baddie is on seventh heaven. The actor took to Twitter to thank all his fans for the phenomenal success of the film. “3 weeks & 31cr +. Lai Bhaari – Sarvanche Abhaar (sic),” tweeted Riteish.
With a lot of backing from the who’s who of Bollywood including Salman Khan, this Nishikant Kamat directorial had managed to create enough buzz even before it hit the theatres. Also the positive word of mouth too helped the film to get the cash registers ringing at the box office.
