Lakme Fashion Week 2013 grand finale: Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu – the ultimate style rivals?

The babes set the ramp on fire at the grand finale of the Lakme Fashion Week. But who turned out to be more stylish as a showstopper?

Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu aren’t exactly buddies. Everyone knows that – from hardcore Bollywood fans to the B-town fraternity. The two created quite a ruckus on the sets of Ajnabee (2001), after which Bebo called the Bong babe a ‘kaali billi’. Despite rumours that the two are trying to patch up (case in point: KK invited Basu recently to Saif Ali Khan’s b’day party), we are sure there are still undercurrents of slight anger simmering between the two.

So what better way to settle old scores than walking the runway at the Lakme Fashion Week 2013 grand finale and giving some serious style competition to each other. The ladies looked gorgeous as they sported creations by two of the most talented designers of the fashion world. KK was spotted in a Namrata Joshipura design and Bong babe Bipasha was pretty much in form in a black cleavage revealing outfit, which was the brainchild of style gurus Shantanu and Nikhil.

Kareena wore this orangish-pink shirt along with shiny palazzos. She gave the finishing touch to the look by opting for a pink semi-formal jacket. The sleek hairdo and the bright lipstick made KK a true-blue pop-tint queen. The overall style was very formal, but the vibrant neon shades gave a funky twist to the whole look.

The Aatma babe, on the other hand, kept a safe distance from colours. An absolute contrast to KK’s style, she kept it plain and sophisticated in a black full-length gown. Representing the collection titled ‘The Tourist’, the fit and fab actor looked like a quintessential urban woman who gives great importance to work and greater importance to style. The bouffant-like hairdo and Basu’s favourite winged-tip eye make-up worked wonders for the bombshell’s toned bod.
