A lot of B-townies were strutting down the ramp at LFW 2014. While some made appearances as guests, others were showstoppers. Let’s take a look
Lakme Fashion Week 2014 witnessed a number of Bollywood divas walking down the ramp. Numerous designers showcased their new collections. Priyanka Chopra walked the ramp for Neeta Lulla, Kareena Kapoor Khan for Rajesh Pratap Singh, Sunny Leone for Jyotsna Tiwari, Karisma Kapoor for Arpita Mehta and we had many more glam dolls setting the ramp on fire.
And as always, some of them won our hearts, some almost won it and some of them disappointed us. So, let’s quickly glance through the sexy ladies of B-town who walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week 2014.
We’re mighty impressed: Dia Mirza was seen in an outfit by Anita Dongre and she looked bewitchingly beautiful. She sported a middle partition and simple wore her hair down, and accessorised her look with earrings and a neckpiece. There was nothing over the top about Dia’s look. Gauhar Khan of Bigg Boss 7 fame was donning a Ken Ferns outfit and we loved the attitude with which she walked the ramp. She looked super sexy! Next on our list is Ileana D’Cruz, who will be seen in Main Tera Hero. She was wearing a lehenga by Anushree Reddy. It could be ‘coz of her slender waist that despite the tiny blouse, the actor managed to look classy. Except for the flowers in her hair, we loved Ileana’s appearance. Karisma Kapoor was elegance personified at LFW 2014 in an Arpita Mehta ensemble. The mirror-worked lehenga was exquisite and this blue-eyed hottie carried off the look with utmost grace. Last, but not the least, Shilpa Shetty looked gorgeous in a Neeta Lulla outfit. Her look was simple yet a feast to the eyes.
They almost had it: These divas generally impress us. But this time around, there was at least one element of their appearance that brought their points a few notches lower. Let’s begin with the Exotic babe of Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra, who showcased a Neeta Lulla outfit. Frankly, we didn’t like the shade of her dress, it was too dull. If it weren’t for her sexy catwalk, Priyanka would be in the list of those who disappointed us completely. Kareena Kapoor Khan walked the ramp for Rajesh Pratap Singh and we aren’t quite a fan of her black n’ silver gown. What we liked about her look was, her hairdo and impeccable makeup. Kalki Koechlin in a Zhen & Mossi outfit with heavy embellishments on the shoulders looked quite unlike her usual cheery self. We’ve seen her in way better outfits and make-up before this, so this look certainly didn’t win our heart. But we love her confidence of carrying every outfit with ease. Nargis Fakhri was seen in Shehlaa by Shehla Khan. We loved her outfit, but certainly not the fitting. It made her look more voluptuous than she actually is and the boob-spill looked anything but sexy! Last in this list is Sunny Leone. Boy, she was covered up from head to toe in a pink Jyotsna Tiwari gown. While we didn’t really like the gown, Sunny looked stunning despite no skin-show!
We’re highly disappointed: Let’s begin with Amrita Rao who was seen in SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi. Her look was too dull and she’d go unnoticed if people didn’t actually know who she is. Kajol was seen in a Anushka Khanna shirt dress. Well, it certainly wasn’t meant for her body type, neither the material nor the length. Urmila Matondkar was seen in a gown by Anita Dongre. Well, well, those thin-straps don’t work wonders for Urmila’s body. However, we’d love to see the gown on someone younger with perfect collar bones to flaunt. Malaika Arora Khan, known as the yummy mummy of B-town, was seen in an ensemble by Anju Modi. We’re certainly not a fan of this look. What about you? Now, two of the most disappointing appearances were: Sushmita Sen for Koecsh and Prachi Desai for Sonaakshi Raaj. We did like Sushmita’s wild outfit, bit it would look better on the jungli billi of B-town than it did on her. As for Prachi, there was nothing praiseworthy about her ramp walk.
Anyways, you too take a look at the pictures and tell us what you think, BollywoodLifers!
