Soon-to-be parents Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi were spotted catching the last show of Vinay Pathak-Ranvir Shorey’s play that had been running for eight long years
It looks like pregnancy hasn’t stopped actor-producer Lara Dutta from living life to the fullest. Recently, she walked the ramp, showing off her teeny-weeny baby bump, at the jewellery fashion week. And a day later, the beauty queen-turned-actor and her tennis player husband, Mahesh Bhupathi, were spotted walking hand-in-hand to support actor friend Vinay Pathak. The Bheja Fry-actor along with Rajat Kapoor and Ranvir Shorey was performing the last show of the play The Blue Mug that has been in the running for eight years. Unlike other celebrities Lara-Mahesh walked in when the lights were on and took their front row seats. And it looked like both were completely enjoying this unconventional theatre experience. After the show the two even met up with the Vinay. So while Ranvir had wife Konkona Sen Sharma (sans the pregnancy fat) and his father to cheer him on, friends Lara-Mahesh were there to applaud Vinay. By the way, Ranvir was overheard saying, “I am glad the show is over…It’s been around for eight long years!” So, if you thought actors only promoted each other’s films, think again. Recently there have been quite a few occasions when A-list folks from Bollywood have stepped out of their ivory towers to encourage friends at unconventional platforms: Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao and Anil Kapoor had attended Vir Das’ stand-up comedy show and the Bachchans watched actor friend Shefali Shah’s play Bas Itna Sa Khawab. We like!
