Lekar Hum Deewana Dil song Alaahda: AR Rahman hits the bullseye yet again!

After composing brilliant music for Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar, the Mozart of Madras is now doing the same for his cousin Armaan’s debut film it seems. We say coz the latest track from Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is absolutely worth hearing

Raj Kapoor’s second grandson Armaan Jain is all set to make his acting debut with Arif Ali’s maiden directorial venture Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. Newbie Deeksha Seth is playing the female lead in this romantic drama which will hit the theaters on July 11. What’s interesting is that there is already a lot of buzz around the film and that’s coz of AR Rahman’s soulful music. After the romantic number Maloom, the makers have now released a new song titled Alaahda. This one has been sung by Shiraz Uppal and the talented lad has got his vocals bang on. Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya are beautiful and deep but what adds life to this soulful number is Rahman’s melodious music. It’s subtle yet very powerful and we totally loved the guitar in the mainstay. While the Slumdog Millionaire composer has once given us a gem, it wouldn’t have been the same without Shiraz Uppal’s dumdaar voice. Hear the song and you’ll agree with us. Coming to the video, its syncs perfectly with the song and if you ask us then Alaahda is truly an audio-visual delight.

So Bollywoodlifers quickly check out the latest song from Lekar Hum Deewana Dil and tell us if you are impressed just like us.

AR Rahman is in form, the masterpiece soundtrack of ‘Million Dollar Arm’ should be in the next Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song with ease. Music in that Walt Disney film is so good that it is running slow and steady despite ‘Godzilla’ and ‘X-Men.’ Watch out for ‘Kaavia Thalaivan’ which has 20 tracks and S Shankar’s ‘Ai’ very soon. Also, trailers for the ’100 Foot Journey’ indicate more great music ahead. Also, the background music for ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ will be released separately, so celebrate!
