This groovy party song has a lot of colour and vibrancy
Although the director of Lekar Hum Deewana Dil planned this song the first but strangely enough Khalifa was the last song to be recorded! AR Rahman and Aarif Ali loved the word ‘Khalifa’ so much that they decided to keep it in the song instantly and created the melody within five hours. The Mozart of Madras didn’t want the track to sound like a regular club number so he wanted ample time to think about the tune. But on a flight to Chennai when producer Dinesh Vijan listened to a song on Aarif Ali’s playlist he loved it so much that he immediately wanted it as the tune for Khalifa. Rahman agreed with Vijan and thus the melody was born.
The song is choreographed by Ahmed Khan who is known for his skill and his humour in Bollywood! But Armaan Jain was completely awestruck by the ace choreographer and thought that Ahmed Khan works is incredible! The song has a party feel to it hence its shot in a party setting with a lot of neon and pop.
We aren’t huge fans of this track but here is the making video for you to see. Tell us what you think about Khalifa?
