Gulaab Gang was a landmark film because it brought together once warring heroines Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Juhi Chawla together on the silver screen and looks like the ex Miss World and Universe are ready to do movie together
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sushmita Sen together in a film, well we just cannot wait for this one to begin. If reports are to be believed then its ad genius Prahalad Kakkad has pulled off an impossible casting coup for his Bollywood directorial debut Happy Anniversary. While this film has got the nod from the Miss World, apparently Kakkad still awaits Miss Universe’s okay. And if this once competitors come together we are sure there will be a double dose of beauty, attitude and mere star power, hai na? Not to forget both Sush and Ash have been missing from the silver screen for quite sometime now. Considering that Ms Rai Bachchan is playing the lead and will romance hubby Abhishek Bachchan in this movie, will the Bong Bombshell accept to play a second fiddle to Aishwarya? Here are some other B-town beauties we wish came together on celluloid….
Deepika Padukone – Katrina Kaif: Who would not like to see the amazing chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-girlfriend and current lover onscreen. And we have a director in mind too – Ayan Mukerji! Remember the young filmmaker had dreaded the very thought of being stranded in a deserted island with Dippy and Kat, would it not be fun to see Ayan get these leggy lasses in a romantic drama. Considering how good Mukerji is with bringing out emotions from his actors, we’re sure Kat and Deepika can put their best foot forward in this film. Maybe Ayan can get his favourite actor and best friend Ranbir to star in this movie and he can claim to be the next Late Yash Chopra who brought together Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in Silsila.
Priyanka Chopra – Kareena Kapoor Khan: This duo came together in Shahrukh Khan’s Don, but then Bebo had a cameo while PeeCee played the protagonist. While PC and Kareena have not started their careers together, they were competing for the No 1 position. Both these babes have proved their mettle as an actor and have commercial success and critical acclaim in their kitty. It’s their personal equations that makes them an interesting cast. When Priyanka got into a relationship with Kareena’s ex Shahid Kapoor, the latter was miffed. Ms KKK questioned the Exotic babe about her firangi accent and Ms Chopra went ahead to say that nobody takes Kareena seriously. They later kissed and made up, but the sheer power and personality that these two babes can bring on celluloid will be something to watch. Wethinks Madhur Bhandarkar can direct the two as he has worked with both these heroines.
Alia Bhatt – Prineeti Chopra: Alia Bhatt certainly takes after her one time favourite heroine Kareena Kapoor Khan. Just like Bebo, Alia doesn’t midn shooting from the lip. We were not surprised that Bhatt gal took potshots at immediate competition Parineeti Chopra on Karan Johar’s popular chat show Koffee with Karan 4. Parineeti of course accepted Alia’s style tips with grace and even went on to share the Koffee couch with arch rival. But if Karan can bring together his protege and Hasee Toh Phasee gal together in a movie, it would be great to watch, right? Also may be like Alia, Pari can give Ms Bhatt some acting tips.
Jaya Bachchan – Rekha: They came together on screen over three decades ago. Rekha and Jaya have maintained a cordial rapport at events and dos. However, each time this duo hugs each other or ignores the other, it makes headlines. And with Silsila a thing of past now, would it not be a delight to watch the two veteran actors come together in a film yet again? And if Big B featured in it, we have quite a few titles in mind already - Silsila 2, Silsila Dobara, Silsila continues…
