The trailer of the film shows an intimate and sensible period love story that seems to have all the hallmarks of a major hit

We have been waiting to check out the trailer of Lootera for quite some time now, considering Vikramaditya Motwane made such a beautiful first film Udaan. And the wait has been worth it since the filmmaker hasn’t let us down. The trailer of his new film starts with a rather intimate dialogue sequence between Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha, with Ranveer asking Sonakshi if he features in the love story she is writing. And, as the dialogues are uttered, we get glimpses of how their love progresses.

What’s striking is the movie’s fresh pairing. The music in the trailer, coupled with the magical chemistry between the two lead actors clearly show that the film is about first love. The production values seem authentic and reflect the ‘60s Calcutta (now Kolkata). And while Ranveer Singh clearly looks the part of a young man, Sonakshi too seems pretty as this time she isn’t over decked, and is given a natural look.
