Madhur Bhandarkar gets inspired to start over?

The Page 3, Chandni Bar and almost-Heroine director needed a break. And now he seems to be reenergised…

A new wave of life – or is it inspiration? – seems to have struck Madhur Bhandarkar after his crisis with Heroine, a pregnant star, recriminations and repercussions and all that good masala that keeps the Bollywood gossip journals in business. After the debacle of Heroine going phut, what with Kareena Kapoor refusing to be intimate onscreen, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan falling pregnant and goodness knows what else, the director was reported to be headed for the hills to find some divine solace. This, after a period of complete hibernation, as he described it, where he refused to talk to anyone about what had happened, and stayed locked up in his office for a few days. Somewhere along the line, perhaps moved by his temple visit, it looks as if he is on the road to recovery. He tweets, “Waves are my inspiration.. Not bcoz they rise and fall.. but bcoz each time they fall, they rise again..!” Well, if Mr B is rising again, out of the depressive stage and back to his talented, energised and inspired self, we look forward to another fabulous new film…but when, Madhurji, when? And have you settled on a heroine – not an expectant one, we hope – for whatever you plan to do next?Subscribe to me on YouTube
