The filmmaker is upset with the Aashiqui actor for making negative comments in the media about the upcoming sequel from the Bhatt camp
The Bhatts are all set to start shooting for the second offering of the ’90s superhit love story Aashiqui that starred debutants Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal. For the sequel, Aditya Roy Kapur, Shaad Randhawa and Shraddha Kapoor have been finalised to play the new lovebirds and Mohit Suri is all set to don the director’s hat.
Recently, when the leading man of the original Aashiqui Rahul Roy was asked about his thoughts on the sequel, he voiced his doubts. “Mark my words, Aashiqui will be a tough act to follow. It will be very difficult to recreate that magic. So I guess Mohit Suri will have to make a new film, a new Aashiqui,” he said.
We really didn’t think there was anything wrong with that statement, but his comments don’t seem to have gone down too well with the Aashiqui director. Not someone to mince his words Mahesh Bhatt says, “Rahul Roy is delusional. He wants Aashiqui to end with him. When it didn’t end with me, how can it end with him? He should show some humility and wish the best for the team of Aashiqui 2. What kind of persons have we become? He should wake up and smell the coffee!”
