She’s playing a hardcore cop and will be dressed like one in Anil Kapoor’s 24, the Indian version of the international series featuring Kiefer Sutherland
Mandira Bedi has transformed a lot since her Shanti days. From wearing plain boring salwaar suits to strappy and glamorous blouses as a cricket show host, Mandy has come a long way. The actor is now playing a no nonsense cop in Anil Kapoor’s 24 which gives no scope for skin show.
Mandy plays an Anti Terrorist Unit (ATU) officer who is second in command to Jai Singh Rathod (Anil Kapoor) in the crime based thriller. When asked if she will be showing off any noodle strap blouses in this series, the amused actor said, “I am playing a government agent. The entire series is about one day – 24 hours. So there’s no dress change at all. No strappy blouses or short dresses. Maine bahuth saare kapde pehne hai iss show mein (I am wearing a lot of clothes in this show).
24, scheduled to go on air on October 4 and will be telecast at 10pm every Friday and Saturday for 12 weeks.
