Last heard, the popular host of small screen was gearing up to feature in the sequel of Tere Bin Laden. But looks like Abhishek Kapoor’s movie won’t be his first step into the glitzy B-town…
Manish Paul, who has earned many accolades for his skills as an entertaining host, will make his debut in Bollywood with first time director Saurabh Varma’s movie Micky Virus (one that was initially called Oye Micky).
Also, now it’s known that Manish will play the role of a geeky computer guy in the movie. But does that mean Paul will bid adieu to the small screen a la Rajeev Khandelwal? “I would still not leave television completely and work things out between television and films,” Paul had said in an interview. Somewhat like Ram Kapoor, no? What’s more, we are told that the movie has already hit the floors and is all set to release by May 17 next year.
So gear up, peeps, to watch the delightful Manish Paul on the bada parda. And yeah, must say that we’re glad Paul is debuting as a comic character rather than a mushy-romantic hero. ‘Coz we really think a role with oodles of comedy would suit him best. Right?
Even so, we would like to ask: Do you think Manish Paul could do justice to a mush-dripping romantic role, if that ever happens?
