The makers of the film are trying to redefine the way movies are made and here is a small glimpse of it…
The makers of Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani have come up with the Mardaani anthem. The track is hard hitting number which takes a cue from the age old Sanskrit chant Ya devi sarvabhuteshu. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan with intermittent vocals by Vijay Prakash, this song is pretty rocking with the DJ beats coming exactly where they are needed to be.
What we like:
-Sunidhi Chauhan’s heavy and raw baritone suits the song perfectly.
-Salim Sulaiman’s composition needs to be applauded as the song brings that patriotic we-need-to-bring-a-change feeling in you.
-Kausar Munir’s lyrics are as apt as they could get. The lyrics describe to the T as to what is going on with the female population in the country and what needs to be done to rectify that.
-Rani’s kick ass action scenes are filmed well. One can see the effort the Bong beauty has put in to get the moves correct.
What we don’t like:
-Being a film about women, this song only has the Bunty aur Babli actor throughout the length of it. You will hardly be able to notice anyone else in the cast in the song.
-The song seems to be a background score for the film and will definitely not come anytime before the end credits roll in.
So go ahead BollywoodLifers, have a look at the song and let us know whether you love it or not.
