Mardaani box office collection: Rani Mukerji’s film collects Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday!

Though the film fared below average on Friday, the collections went up on Saturday

Aditya Chopra’s production venture Mardaani starring his wifey Rani Mukerji hit the theaters on August 22 (Friday). Despite impressing the critics, the film failed to get a flying start at the ticket windows. On day 1, Pradeep Sarkar’s women-centric flick only managed to rake in little over Rs 3 crore. However, on day 2 the figures went up and Rani-starrer collected Rs 4.75 crore nett at the Indian box office bringing its two day total to around 8.25-8.75 crore nett.

According to Boxofficeindia, “Mardaani showed decent growth on Saturday as it improved around 35-30% from the collections on Friday. The improvement was pretty healthy in the metros. The Saturday business gives the film a chance to hold on Monday but then the level it can sustain at on the weekdays will be important if it is to hold screenings into week two.”

Let’s hope Rani’s hard hitting film rakes in good moolah before Friday coz Emraan Hashmi, Humaima Malik and Paresh Rawal starrer Raja Natwarlal is set to release in the coming week.Subscribe to me on YouTube

35-40% not 35-30%. Lame. It almost had a 50% jump.
