In this desi number, director Vishal Bhardwaj brings to the fore the wild side of his lead actors

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is a comedy, and the video of the title track sets the wheels in motion. Watching Pankaj Kapur boogie – in sunglasses, kurta, scarf et al – is one of the most hilarious and entertaining treat for movie lovers. While Imran Khan’s non-dancing skills work to his advantage this time around, Anushka Sharma perfects her jungli moves and impresses with some quirky desi steps. Everyone just seems to be having loads of fun. But we wonder why a group of Africans is dancing around in this village?

Vishal Bhardwaj’s music and Gulzar’s lyrics are enjoyable and catchy, and the dance movements are bound to make you laugh. If this song video is anything to go by, we should get set for some straight-faced humour that will unfold in the khet-khaliyaans of North India.
