MTV Splitsvilla is back with a brand new season! While the first episode had its shining moments, a few dull ones followed as well. Read on to know more on what we thought of the first episode…
Set in the picturesque Samode palace of Rajasthan, MTV Splitsvilla 7 is following a fairytale theme where twenty girls would take a shot to woo seven celebrity boys. We give you a take on the good and the bad side of the first episode which was telecast on MTV today…
THE GOOD: Sunny Leone
Although her verbal skills might not have earned her many brownie points, the sexy Sunny Leone nonetheless sizzled in the first episode with her Baby Doll opening act and the hot swimwear she donned, looking every bit a gorgeous diva. The episode witnessed a funny moment where the seven male celebrities stood staring at Sunny as she entered the pool scene with co-host Nikhil Chinapa, wearing a black and white striped bikini top with a pink sarong. The stint surely made the female contestants a whole lot jealous, so we would say good job done Sunny!
All the seven celebrity boys held their own and put their best foot forward throughout the episode. Ashwani Kaul looked dashing in a blue Nehru Jacket topped with a funky hairstyle. Ayaz Ahmed on the other hand stood out in his monochrome jacket with Shravan Reddy, Rishabh Sinha and Mayank Gandhi keeping it casual yet classy.
The “rosy” twist
The episode ended on a nail biting twist with all seven celebrity boys being given black roses which they would use as a medium to eliminate seven girls from the competition. Splitsvilla is known for its twists and shocks, but this one was certainly highly unexpected. Who will be eliminated? Stay tuned!
THE BAD: The female contestants
Where the boys add glamour to the show with their celebrity image and sex appeal, the girls fall flat in the same. The previous seasons of Splitsvilla have seen contestants like Mandy Debbarma, Joanna Megee and Riya Bamniyal, who have added zing to the show with their fierceness and charm. This season’s female contestants fail to impress, and are certainly not the USP of the show. Let’s just say the hottest female in this season is Sunny Leone without a doubt!
Mr. India pageant winner Mayank Pawar could be termed as the least impressive celebrity contestants on the show. With his beefed up body and an over confident attitude, Mayank doesn’t bring any gentlemanly charm to the table and comes across as a little pompous with his way. Well to be fair, this was the first episode. You never know what this good-hearted lad (so he claims) will turn out to be as the drama unfolds further. Better luck next time Mayank!
So, which female contestants will be “black-rosed” next week? Wait and watch BollywoodLifers!
