Director Rohan Sippy’s new comedy flick starring Ayushmann and Kunaal looks like a full-on laugh riot and has some interesting, witty dialogues
After making Dum Maaro Dum two years ago, Rohan Sippy is back to present a totally hatke comedy film about two friends, Ram Parmar and Mandar Lele, played by Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunaal Roy Kapur respectively. The movie Nautanki Saala is about how Ram accidentally comes across Mandar one night and what happens thereafter.
The promo starts with Mandar enacting Lord Ram on stage as he tries to lift a dhanush (bow) and falls miserably. He tries hard to convince Ram (Ayushmann) that he can’t act but Ram pushes him to do so. Mandar then falls for a girl and asks Ram to help him patao her. Ram instead flirts with the girl and tells her, “Karna hai toh kahin bhi kar sakte hain – kisi hotel mein, staircase, room mein, kitchen, open mein, gaadi mein, gaadi ke peeche, under the open sky.” The girl asks him, “Tumhe humari pehli date yaad hai?” to which Ram responds, “Of course, hum log blue film dekhne gaye they”… and after a brief pause says – Avatar! (Hollywood film) Cut to, we see an agitated Mandar looking at himself in the mirror and saying, “Kitne din lagenge Chulbul Pandey banne mein.” The promo looks intriguing and very promising.
