Director Habib Faisal portrays a passionate love story that shows what true love is made of
Habib Faisal is known for his realistic stories which he portrays on the big screen with believable characters. His romantic drama Ishaqzaade may not have set the box office on fire, but it definitely gave us a raw, rebellious and passionate love story set in a small town of India. The film mainly revolves around the two defiant individuals Parma (Arjun Kapoor) and Zoya ( Parineeti Chopra) who fall for each other and take their love beyond the rivalry and hatred their political families share for one another for many generations just to stay in power. The two love-birds understand the gravity of the complex situation they are into and show courage to go against all odds fearlessly. Ishaqzaade doesn’t end on a happy note, but it shows love can transcend challenges and religious boundaries with its fierce power, even if it costs lives!
On the sixth day of Navratri as we discuss how love can conquer everything, one more film that comes to our collective mind is the John Abraham production Vicky Donor. Directed by Shoojit Sircar this delightful movie shows the responsible side of true love. It depicts how love is not limited to romance and mush and also goes onto show that one must be willing to accept one’s partner irrespective of their limitations to make a relationship work. Vicky Donor gives that message with subtlety and lots of fun.
Today, in this series of Navratri specials where we discuss how the inherent goodness in us can conquer the demons we harbor in our minds , we pay tribute to all those filmmakers who through their wonderful creations showed us that love is the strongest force possible that can move mountains, melt hearts and make our lives worth living!
