Neil Nitin Mukesh’s search for a good, intelligent horror film ends

The Players actor signs his first psychological thriller titled 3G

Even though lately Neil Nitin Mukesh’s star isn’t shining bright, there is no dearth of interesting roles coming his way. The 29-year-old actor is already working on his first romantic comedy – Shortcut Romeo, co-starring Ameesha Patel. He thinks the movie isn’t a clichéd mindless romcom, but a larger-than-life presentation of love and laughter.

The latest news is that Neil has signed his first horror film – it happens to be one of his favourite genres! Titled 3G, the horror drama will be directed by Shantanu and Sheershak and shot on the beautiful beaches of Fiji islands. But the film isn’t a typical fright drama revolving around ghosts and spirits that are usually made in Bollywood. 3G‘s plot has a psychological twist in it. Neil plays a man with a split personality.

We think that should be the Players actor’s idea of an intelligent horror film! In an interview to BollywoodLife, Neil had told us that he liked horror films and said, “I would like to be a part of a good, intelligent horror film. If you are going to paint my face whiter than it already is, there is no point of making a horror film. I don’t understand putting powder on the face to scare people.”

Let’s hope Neil’s efforts to shock his audiences are worth people’s hard-earned money!
