The producer and director of the Akshay Kumar-John Abraham-Asin starrer fight over a marketing issue of the film

News is that director Sajid Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala are at loggerheads over an item song for their next film Housefull 2. Khan wants a sexy lady to tango in the film, while Nadiadwala feels there has been an overkill of a leading lady prancing to grab eyeballs. We agree that most star actors have had their share of item numbers; from Katrina Kaif to Kareena Kapoor (she gets a ‘hot number’ in her own film Bodyguard) to Bipasha Basu to Mallika Sherawat and Malaika Arora Khan. In recent times we have noticed that irrespective of whether the film has room for a tadkedar item song like Munni…, Sheila… and Jalebi bai or not, it has to be squeezed in. Thus, there is little novelty factor attached with these songs. Recently, even Aamir Khan shook his booty for his home production Delhi Belly. And that makes it doubly tough for anyone to recreate magic around item numbers. However, we hear that Sajid Khan, who got many pretty ladies to dance to the Heyy Babyy title song, is not going to give up so easily. As of now the team is halfway in the shooting of the film; so insiders say don’t be surprised if they spring up with a fresh and innovative item gal!
