Besides revealing names of celebrities from the cricket and glamour world in the recent IPL 6 spot-fixing scandal, Vindu Dara Singh has now disclosed Pakistani umpire Rauf’s name and his involvement in the controversy
Ever since Vindu Dara Singh was taken into custody by the Mumbai Crime Branch for his involvement in the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing case, the worried actor just can’t stop disclosing names of people belonging to Bollywood and cricket world. The latest name Vindu confessed is that of Pakistani umpire thereby alleging that Rauf gave inside information to bookies.
Vindu’s recent allegation has brought the Pakistani umpire under the scanner for officiating at the controversial Rajasthan Royals May 15 match. After the sad (read: royal) defeat, the IPL team Rajasthan Royals co-owner Shilpa Shetty strongly made her displeasure felt on the social networking site, challenging umpire Rauf’s decision. “Not upset abt our loss but definitely angry with the umpires decision. Dravid was “NOT OUT”. Proud of the #RR put up a good fight as always!” tweeted Shilpa.
Accordingly, Rauf has been withdrawn by the International Cricket Council (ICC) from next month’s Champions Trophy to be held in UK for his alleged role in the scandal that is growing bigger by the day. Last year, a Mumbai-based model, Leena Kapoor accused Asad of sexually exploiting her for several months after promising marriage and later dumped her unceremoniously. She even gave a written complaint to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pratap Digaokar’s office in Bandra against the Pakistani umpire.
