The India Calling actor says he has put on a lot of weight for the role
You loved his romantic avatar in Dill Mill Gaye as much as you loved his cop one in Special Squad. Now, he’s coming back on television on a different channel and a different soap – Imagine TV’s Dharampatni. The exact nature of his role is being kept under wraps. All that has been revealed is that he will play a pivotal role and his character will be the eldest of three brothers. We are glad he is coming back on TV, but as an elder brother? He is too cute and innocent-looking to play the older brother for not one, but two guys! Pankit has no such qualms. “It’s a challenging role, and I’ve been working on my look, style, personality and diction for it. I’ve even put on a lot of weight to get into the skin of the character. I hope the audience appreciates my efforts this time as well,” he says. He will be entering this week, so all you viewers out there who lost interest in Dharampatni after the first three episodes may want to tune in on time.
Dharampatni stars Aasiya Kazi as Kastur and Harshad Chopra as her love interest, Mohan. The show follows Kastur as she takes care of her family, dreams of Lord Krishna and waits for Mohan to take notice of her.
