The veteran Bollywood actor celebrates his 63rd birthday today!
Born on May 30, 1950, Paresh Rawal has created a niche for himself with his amazing acting prowess, quirky mannerisms and spot on comic timing. An alumnus of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, Rawal made his acting debut at the age of 34 in a film called Holi. But it was his role in the 1986 film Naam that earned him recognition as a good actor.
Today, after working in more than 100 movies, Paresh Rawal continues to amaze and entertain us by portraying some unimaginable characters with amazing ease. He has won National Awards for his films Sir (1993) and Woh Chokri (1994) and bagged Filmfare trophies for his phenomenal acting in Sir (1993), Hera Pheri (2000) and Awara Paagal Deewana (2002). Priyadarshan’s comic caper Hera Pheri has been the biggest hit of Rawal’s life.
From an idiosyncratic villain to a hilarious comedian and from a shrewd politician to a flat-out baddie – Rawal has played a range of characters in his career spanning almost three decades. We at BollywoodLife wish him a very happy birthday and hope that he continues to entertain us with really hatke avatars for many more years to come. You too can send in your wishes!
