The cousins are all set for a box office clash yet again. But who will win this time?
When Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra clashed at the box office for the very first time last year, it obviously became a talk of the town. And now the two sisters are all set to face-to-face at the BO yet again. So we at BollywoodLife decided to do a short analysis of the first clash between Chopra sisters and tell you our perspective of their second face-off at the box office…
Round 1: Parineeti’s Shuddh Desi Romance vs Priyanka’s Zanjeer
SDR - Parineeti was paired opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Maneesh Sharma’s film, which was all about live-in relationships. The movie also featured Vaani Kapoor. Personally, we couldn’t connect to the film completely, but the sizzling chemistry between Pari and Sushant was something to watch out for.
Zanjeer - This was the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s popular film by the same name. The 2013 film featured Priyanka and Southern actor Ram Charan Teja in the lead roles. Though there was a lot of buzz before the release of the film, but the movie tanked at the box office. It was probably one of the most disastrous films of 2013.
Result: Parineeti wins!
Round 2: Parineeti’s Daawat-e-Ishq vs Priyanka’s Mary Kom
Daawat-e-Ishq – Pros - The film, which is a romantic comedy features the fresh pair of Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti. So the chemistry between the two would be something people would want to watch.
Aditya has come out of his ‘drunkard’ zone and is playing a Lucknowi chef in this one. So again that is something people have never seen of him before.
Cons - The trailer, which was released recently didn’t quite impress the masses.
The Aashiqui 2 actor’s look in the YRF flick is blah.
Mary Kom – Pros - The film is based on the boxing athlete Mary Kom. That says it all.
Cons - As said Mary Kom is a personality, who has become quite popular. So Priyanka has taken a risk and she has huge expectations to live upto.
The film is being directed by set designer Omung Kumar. It’s his directorial debut. Again a risk.
