The bubbly actor-producer turns 38 today
Born on January 31, 1975, Preity Zinta made her debut alongside Shahrukh Khan in Dil Se (1998). In the same year, the dimpled actor was seen in Bobby Deol starrer Solider as well. Her act in both the films earned her the Filmfare Best Debut Award that year. Since then this dimpled actor has come a long way in Bollywood. From SRK to Salman Khan to Aamir Khan to Hrithik Roshan, Preity is one of the few heroines to have shared screen space with most of Bollywood’s leading men. In 2008, the B-town beauty acted in her first international film Heaven on Earth and even won the Silver Hugo Award for Best Actress at the 2008 Chicago International Film Festival for her performance. Besides acting, the Kal Ho Na Ho starlet is a social activist, co-owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kings XI Punjab and has started her own production company PZNZ Media.
Known for speaking her mind and bindass attitude, Zinta was awarded the Godfrey Phillips National Bravery Award. The Dil Chahta Hai babe was the only witness who didn’t retract her statement in the court during Bharat Shah case in 2003.
Preity turned producer and writer with her last film Ishkq in Paris but the film failed at the box office. The talented actor will be seen playing a cameo in Saif Ali Khan starrer Happy Ending which is slated to release this year.
